| Background Investigations should be designed to meet your specific requirements. If our inquiry is intended for use as a pre-employment investigation, you are probably interested in verifying the applicant's identity, learning about the applicant's prior worker's compensation claims history, their Driving History, determining if the applicant has a criminal record, and verifying any licenses, credentials, employment or educational background that may be germaine to your hiring decision. If the position involves fuduciary responsibilities or you are considering the subject as a potential business partner, you may want to develop additional information regarding the applicant's Credit Rating and Credit History, current Assets, and request confidential interviews of prior employers or business associates. The following elements can be included in a Background Investigation.
There are many State and Federal laws that apply to the conduct of Pre-Employment or Post-Employment Background Investigations. If you would like information on some of the legal and ethical issues related to Employment Background Investigations, click on FCRA.
