Our Credit Policy: Veritas Investigations (hereafter, "the Company") does not typically authorize lines of credit to clients. For most services, we require payment of the service fee in advance, or deposit of an advance equal to half of the estimated cost of the investigation. Please call us if you wish to establish a retainer account.
Terms/Conditions of Service: I understand I am placing an order for investigative services and/or research of electronically stored information that may be gathered from third party data bases or other sources. I also understand that, in many cases these services will be performed based on information that I or my company has provided, and understand that the Company may not be able to independently verify the information provided by me, or the information they receive from third parties. I understand that the Company will endeavor to provide accurate information in response to this investigative request, but agree that the Company assumes no liability for the accuracy of information contained in third party reports it may rely upon or furnish. The Company has made no warranties of performance, merchantability, or fitness of their investigative product for any particular purpose. I understand that the Company will endeavor to provide professional services by properly licensed, trained and insured investigators, but that the Company cannot guarantee any specific investigative finding, outcome or result.
Payment Terms: I understand that Veritas Investigations requires payment in advance for Background Investigations, Service of Process, and other fixed-fee professional services. All professional services will be billed to the client at rates reflected in the Veritas Investigations Schedule of Rates and Fees, as posted on their website or at specific rates quoted to the client for their particular engagement. I understand that once a Background Investigation or Service of Process has been ordered and paid for, the request cannot be cancelled, and no refund can be made. I also understand that, in the event I retain Veritas Investigations to perform investigative services at an hourly rate, the company will cease its efforts once any advance is depleted unless further work is authorized and an additional deposit is received.
